Conrad 'Greg' Gregoire

I am writing to notify you of another loss of an old PhotoMapper.

Conrad 'Greg' Gregoire passed on the evening of April 15th in Jacksonville, FL., leaving behind his loving wife, Leila. He had been in failing health but was in good spirits up until his passing. Greg was in the 1374th and served as a Ground Station Chief on numerous projects. We first served together in 1957 on AST #7 in the Philippines. We were lucky to have been able to have numerous mini-reunions together. He will be remembered and missed.

A couple of weeks ago, Greg Gregoire said that Elbert Dale and Ron Westmoreland were coming down from Virginia for a visit and that I should 'come on up' to Jacksonville. There was no way that I was going to miss out on that mini reunion. We all served together on a couple of tours on AST 7 and Elbert Dale and I served together on AST 9 on Site Nan, Bikini Atoll and Eniwetok Atoll. We shared war stories, laughs, and a friendship that has lasted many, many years. I guess us 'ground station guys' formed some very special bonds.
